Your place of purchase is very important when it comes to delivery times: -
1) As new cars come straight from factory,their delivery can be delayed upto 6 weeks and in exceptional cases can take longer if coming from some other country.
2) Pre-reg and used car can be collected in two weeks although they can be collected straight away after signing deal.
3) When buying privately sellers are more inclined to get rid of car asap, so try to collect after payment or set earliest possible date.

4) If you car needs things needed to be done like servicing or any extras then agree for a realistic time scale and allow time for that but still it is advisable to check themtime to time to find out progress.
5) Always stay in contact with seller to make sure you will be able to collect car on set time.
